About

Ferdinand Knecht [1991] is a skilled carpenter and a young architect based in Berlin. He works on his own projects as well as with various people and develops conceptual architectural projects with a social, environmental, and political impact.

After training as a carpenter, he studied architecture in Münster and Weimar. During his studies, he worked for Brandlhuber+ Muck Petzet Architekten in Berlin as well as for 2038, the German Pavilion at the 17th Architecture Biennale in Venice.

Ferdinand is co-editor of the 15th edition of horizonte, co-author of the 2nd edition of the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) Biennale Stories, and founder of frntr_arc an archive for furniture design that is between the extra ordinary and the extraordinary.

Since 2022 he continues working for Muck Petzet Architekten in Berlin and since 2023 he is also part of RRRArchitecture, an architectural practice and international network.
